Porcelain Lamina Teeth

What Are Lamina Teeth?

Porcelain laminate teeth are aesthetic restorations that are applied with minimal cutting on the tooth surface of the patients or without touching the tooth surface. Since the operations are performed on the enamel surface, they do not cause any sensitivity. Since the thickness of porcelain is very thin (0.3-0.7 mm), a result very close to nature is obtained.

Who Can Have Lamina Teeth?

Lamina teeth can be applied to teeth that have irregularities on the tooth surface, are over-colored, cannot reach the desired color with whitening, have gaps between the teeth, and are heavily worn.

What are the Advantages of Lamina Application?

Porcelain laminate teeth are very thin porcelains that can be made with little or no touching of the teeth. Since their thickness is very thin, they combine with the color of the underlying tooth to give a very natural appearance, very close to natural teeth. Their preparation and oral administration is carried out within 1 week-10 days. During the preliminary preparation stage, a preliminary assessment of the appearance of the lamina can be made with a design called mock-up after the treatment. Since the surface of porcelain laminates is smooth and polished very well, they are not affected by external factors (cigarette, tea, coffee). Since porcelain laminates have high durability, they do not wear easily.

What is the Treatment Process of Porcelain Laminates?

During the first examination, the health of the teeth and gums is evaluated first, and if necessary, tartar cleaning can be done for the health of the gums. First of all, intraoral and extraoral photographs and x-rays are taken. The first records are completed by taking the measurement of the teeth. A preliminary study is carried out by the doctor on the composite material and the image of the lamina on the teeth to which the lamina will be placed in the patient’s mouth and evaluated with the patient. The patient sends his wishes to the doctor

Orthodontic Treatments

What is Orthodontic Treatment? To Whom Is It Applied?

Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that also treats occlusion disorders of the teeth by placing the teeth and jaws in their proper positions relative to the face. Orthodontic treatments are conservative treatments that can be applied to everyone of all ages. The important thing here is that the teeth, gums and bone should be healthy.

What are the Treatment Options in Orthodontic Treatments?

Orthodontic treatments can be divided into two types as wire (traditional) treatments and treatments applied with clear aligners without wires. Traditional treatments, braces can be done by placing them on the outer surface of the teeth or on the inner surface of the teeth. Nowadays, with the development of digital orthodontics, clear aligner treatments are also preferred. In these treatments, also known as invisible orthodontics, patients can see the result of the treatment before starting the treatment.

What are the Advantages of Invisible Orthodontics (Invisalign)?

Since the visibility of the aligners is very low in Invisalign clear aligner treatments, they are almost unnoticeable from the outside. Since it can be put on and taken off at any time, treatment can be interrupted on special days and in special meetings, and they do not affect the quality of life of the patients. Since it is removed during brushing and there is no attachment such as brackets or wires on the teeth, it can be easily brushed and oral hygiene is provided easily.

Invisalign treatment is a treatment that can be applied to both adults and children.

Patient compliance increases even more with Invisalign aligners, as it provides the opportunity to see the treatment result at the beginning of orthodontic treatment.
